VAG-COM turns your PC into a sophisticated VW/Audi diagnostic tool, that performs the functions of a factory VAG-1551 or VAG-1552 scan tool and more.

Official VAG-COM interfaces from Ross Tech LLC, that work with all systems on some VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda cars using the new CAN interface - ie some 2003 and newer cars

IMPORTANT NOTE:
This interface is compatible only with cars based on Mk.5 Golf technology.
These currently include:
- 1K-chassis (Mk.5) VW Golf (Rabbit) and Jetta including the GTI and GLI versions.
- 3C-chassis (B6) VW Passat
- 8P-chassis Audi A3
- 8J-chassis Audi TT
- 1T-chassis VW Touran mini-van
- 1F-chassis VW Eos
- 2K-chassis VW Caddy
- 5M-chassis Golf Plus
- 5P-chassis Seat Altea and Toledo
- 1P-chassis Seat Leon
- 1Z-chassis Skoda Octavia

If your car's chassis type isn't on this list, it's not compatible with this interface!
All of these chassis-types are the latest generation of that model. Previous generations of the same model are not compatible and should use a KEY- or HEX- series interface instead.

If you're not certain, please check your car's VIN. The 7th and 8th digit have the chassis code. For example: WAUMF78P06A0NNNNN is an 8P-chassis Audi A3.

Using VAG-COM, you can:

• read and clear fault codes from all systems within the car, e.g. engine, airbag, ABS, instruments, parking sensors etc.
• view live data from the sensors within the car
• reset service lights (both fixed and variable service intervals)
• read stored and intermittent fault codes
• graph and log live data with the car running
• automatically read fault codes from all car systems in a single search

The minimum system requirements for the VAG-COM software are:

• Desktop, laptop or notebook PC
  
• Pentium (or equivalent) processor running at 500MHz (or higher)
• 64MB RAM
  
• Windows 98SE, 2000, ME, XP or Vista (32-bit)
  
• Approx. 10MB of hard disk space
• USB port
