I had a Cavalier with a misfire, it cost as much to get ONE code reading done as it did to buy the Vauxcheck software and a scan tool. I have since moved onto to EngineCheck Pro and have fixed several cars and have a far greater understanding of how EFI works. There is more than enough good information on the web, including videos, to help you. The wife was amazed when he Ford Ka developed a misfire and I reached for the laptop. Two hours later and I had confirmed it was due to a faulty coil pack. No garage bill, no running back and forth. Ordered, fitted, fixed. For the cost, why would you NOT have a copy?

Like many others I bought a cheap ELM interface from eBay that came with some free software. Used it several times but it proved very unrealiable, slow and lacking any decent info. I looked into several snap on scanners but decided to try and find some decent laptop based software! After reading about US companies that offer it (which is for mostly US vehicles) i found this whilst googling.
Exchanged several emails and they sent me some trial software to try with my eBay ELM. I was that impressed I bought the pro software and I was up and running in under 24 hours, and this was on weekend!
They never tried to tell me that I would need a complete new interface, all my emails very answered quickly and the software was easy to install.
Ive used it on brand new kia sportage, a 2006 suburu wrx, vx Astra j, daewoo Matiz, it connects very fast and you can look at live data, read DTCs for the engine, print reports and look at graphing data! Fantastic!
Overall I was very impressed. The software looks professional and the customer support is brilliant. I cant recommend it enough. Wish more companies were like this. Thanks
