The Gendan GCR25 is the ideal tool for small garages, mobile mechanics and DIY enthusiasts, who need a bit more information than a standard code reader can offer.

It provides a fast way to access the trouble codes that trigger check engine
lights as well as readiness test status that determines if a vehicle is ready for an emissions test. Plus it can display the "freeze-frame" data from a fault code - this is a snapshot of the values the engine sensors were displaying at the instant a trouble code was recorded by the ECU - this can be invaluable information when diagnosing a fault.

It is also able to display real-time live-data streams from the engine sensors, which can be very useful when diagnosing intermittent or border-line faults that are affecting performance, but not yet triggering fault codes on the ECU.

This scan tool will read/clear codes from EOBD diagnostics systems (this covers engine, powertrain and emissions faults). It will not read/clear codes from other systems, e.g. SRS, ABS or Suspension systems.

NOTE:
Some pre-2001 petrol vehicles and pre-2004 diesel vehicles have 16-pin connectors but are not EOBD compliant. Vehicles that we have had particular problems with are pre-2001 Vauxhall, Renault, Citroen, Peugeot and Rover.
