The Foxwell BT100 is a simple to use car battery analyser, which gives a quick assessment of the health and charge level of your battery.
The tool will immediately give a voltage reading on connection to the battery.
Then by simply answering a few on-screen questions (such as whether the battery is in the vehicle, the type of battery, the battery standard and the rated CCA), it will give a more comprehensive assessment.

The Foxwell BT100 battery analyzer is an excellent, low cost, simple-to-use device for testing car batteries. I used it to test two batteries and the results were consistent with those from my old Clarke CVT1 50 amp drop tester. The BT100 purchased from Gendan came with an unexpected bonus, not mentioned in the User's Guide: as well as the listed results, it also measures the battery's internal resistance (4.54 milliohms for one of my batteries) listed as MR.
The service and support given by Gendan is also very good. I had a query, and it was answered on the same day!
As an engineer, I was curious to know what signal frequency the BT100 uses to analyze a battery. Out came my oscilloscope, which showed a 3 second 100 Hertz square-wave burst. This is in the frequency region used in a number of battery analyzers. It would be interesting to know the algorithm used by the BT100 to calculate SOC and SOH, but I guess it is confidential!
