USB PC diagnostics interface for Volkswagen, Audi, Seat and Skoda models
This interface is compatible with the VCDS-Lite
software from Ross Tech LLC, and works with:
- most 1995-2003 VW cars with the 16-pin diagnostic socket
- most 1996-2003 Audi cars with the 16-pin diagnostic socket
- most Skoda and Seat models to 2003 with the 16-pin diagnostic socket
Using the VCDS-Lite (formerly VAG-COM) software, you can:
- Read and clear fault codes (from most systems within the car, e.g. engine management, ABS)
- View live data from some sensors within the car
- View monitor test status
- and much more... (see below)

Includes automatic support for both single and dual K lines (found
in B6/8E chassis Audi A4 and 2002+ Audi A6) - no manual switching required

OBD-II connector made to fit even in the 'tight' diagnostic sockets - found
on cars such as B5 Passats and B5 Audi A4s

Electronic protection against over-current conditions (protection against the 'aftermarket
radio problem')

VCDS-Lite software
A highly useful shareware version of the VCDS software (VCDS-Lite) can be downloaded
for free. It can also be upgraded to unlock additional features for US$99, as required.

Bought this cable on a recommendation from a VW owners group, and used with free downloaded VCDS Lite software to reset airbag light on my 1996 Mk3 Golf GTi. Excellent service and clear and concise instructions on how to install USB drivers to Win10 laptop, far better than Chinese junk you find on Ebay. Well done keep up the good work.

Ordered the VAG KKL Cable from Gendan after installing the Ross Tech VCDS-Lite Software onto my ancient/unused Windows XP Laptop. The cable comes with useful setup instructions, but, unfortunately, I couldnt get the device driver from the Gendan website to work with Windows XP. I downloaded a previous version (2.08.24) directly from the FTDIChip.com website, and, without any problem, this installed the drivers, created the virtual COM Port and recognized the USB Cable. I plugged the cable into my 1997 Audi A4 and it connected first attempt. Very pleased after the disappointment of discovering OBD2 scanners dont work on pre-2001 Audis!!!

I was looking for a cost effective way to access and clear a fault code on my 2001 Audi TT airbag dash light. Mike at Gendan really knows his stuff. They supplied the interface cable, which was a bargain, and I downloaded the VCDS Lite from Ross-Tech. Within seconds code read and cleared, no dash warning light. Gendan were very fast in the ordering/dispatch and lightening fast in responding to my email queries. A pleasure to deal with and I won't be looking anywhere else for my future needs. Well done Gendan.

Simple but hugely useful and it beats fault finding guesswork hands down. Well priced to get you pointing in the right direction with some decent info from the limited but free version of VCDS Lite. After that you can decide if you want to spend more by upgrading the software. Great support from Gendan too. Overall a great starter package.
