Adaptor cable for some pre-2001 BMW vehicles fitted with a 20-pin diagnostic port.
A small number of BMW vehicles pre-2001 support the ISO diagnostic protocol. This adaptor allows connection of EOBD / OBD-II diagnostic tools to pre-2001 BMW 20-pin diagnostic ports.

The pin-out of the cable is as follows:
Female 16-pin OBD-II  |  Male BMW 20-pin Connector
4, 5 - 19 (Ground)
7 - 17, 20 (Diagnostic K-Line)
15 - 15 (Diagnostic L-Line)
16 - 14 (Power)

FEMALE pin-out of EOBD / OBDII Connector
MALE pin-out of BMW connector
NOTE: The diagrams above show pin positions of the sockets on the adaptor cable - ie FEMALE EOBD plug, and MALE BMW plug.
