Why
would I need this?
Under
the OBDII/EOBD standard, Ford only supports 20 - 40 sensors on a typical
vehicle. But using the Ford enhanced interface, a typical Ford vehicle
will support 200 - 300 sensors.
The Ford
enhanced interface is only matched by dealer tools - it boasts support
for 2900+ sensors selected from 67 systems. And what’s more, the Ford
enhanced interface would give you access to system tests like KOEO,
KOER, Cylinder Contribution Test, Buzz Injector Test, Switch Test, Glow
Plug Test, Windshield Wiper Tests, etc.

cars will the Ford Enhancement work with?
The upgrade
will work with almost all UK/European Ford petrol cars from approx.
1997 (with the EEC-V engine-management system), including Focus, Mondeo,
Fiesta, Puma, Cougar, Fusion.
In addition
to all of the UK and European Ford car support, this upgrade also supports
US-sold Ford, Mercury and Lincoln cars imported into Europe from 1996.
Upgrade
will work with PC, Palm or Pocket PC AutoEnginuity package.
How
does the Enhancement work?
AutoEnginuity
Enhancements are software-only updates that, once purchased, can be
activated through email/by phone.
There
is no extra installation or special hardware necessary.
The enhanced
interfaces are licensed to single PC and come with free updates for
the first year.
Updates
to the enhanced interfaces are free for the first year; another year
of updates is only £35 (inc VAT) per enhancement.
